Pocket Charms - Birdman & Billy

These two didn’t want to be knotted up with 108 stones… Instead, they wished to be remain small enough to fit, all cozied up, in a warm hearted hand. They asked to be light & free to travel all over the place!
I mean... who can blame them?
When asked about “purpose” they laughed & explained, “We just want to BE who we are - today.”
is that too much to ask?
I think not.
So now, this is what they remind us to do……BE HERE NoW!

BILLY
Billy the rabbit holds 18 world records in cap gun target shooting. Billy finds pleasure in the escape of a good book and the sweet sound of the morning birds. Billy can often be found telling his own stories of travel adventures, none of which have ever been proven true (or false).

BIRDMAN
Business casual is his preferred manner of dress. He sports a fine collection of vintage 80’s sneaks and can slam dunk like no other. His hero is Mr. Rogers and he enjoys volunteering at the senior citizen center. He can often be found exploring caves with his buddy, Bartok.

A Note about the Blamo Journey, from Alexa.
These magical little brass creatures lived on the cliff edge of the Indian Ocean, with me, for almost a year! The neighborhood monkeys even paid us a visit in those first days, spotting some shiny objects in the window & attempting to steal them! Luckily, in precisely the perfect moment, I arrived home to chase the rowdy lot off the balcony with enough of a startle to drop the bag of treasured creatures, mid stride.

Our bond was fortified in that moment & it became my duty to protect them from those real, living breathing monkeys & eventually create something epic out of our time together. Other than some monkey madness, we existed together simply ~ amongst the crystals, in the salty air with an ocean view & a lot of love. They communicated with me sporadically thru visions & dreams & It took a while to really see how they would like to collaborate but eventually, art did what art does - EMERGE!
Each creature came to reveal it’s own unique personality, reflected in the final crystal choices & arrangement of stones.
I absolutely LOVED this project !
