When a mala breaks.....
It usually means one chapter has ended, and a new one is about to begin. Moment to Moment, we are being given opportunity to shed layers and step into new realms of existence. You are a wise human, Pay Attention. This is an opportunity to self-reflect, pay homage to the past & Welcome the Future. A Sacred LETTING GO has arrived.
- "Some of us think holding on makes us strong but sometimes, it is letting go." ~ Herman Hesse
- "We need, in love, to practice only this: letting each other go. For holding on comes easily; We do not need to learn it." ~Rilke
- "Train yourself to let go of everything you fear to lose." ~ Yoda
I Invite you into Ceremony.
Find a time/place where you won't be disturbed. Choose a location that feels safe and comfortable for you. Energetically (or physically), create a sacred circle around you, inviting your own version of God/Goddess to arrive. Be sure to have a journal & pen nearby and possibly, light a candle. (When we light a candle, we invite the wisdom of Fire & Light to participate in the experience. We ask the light to reveal the message woven into the moment and we allow ourselves to be held & supported by this Light.)
Have your prayer beads with you and a pair of scissors. Hold them up to your heart.
Take 10 (or more) sweet, silent, FULL Breathes. Hear the Ocean, within. Hear the Wind, inside. Feel the Pulse of the Earth. Listen. Allow yourself to be opened by the Moment.
Now, pay homage to your Seeds of Remembrance. Take stock of your life and her involvement in it. What did she provide you? How did she hold you? What did this last chapter of life, represent? (This is a good time to write, if you feel inspired).
Then, when you feel ready, begin the cutting process -- each bead, one-by-one. Have a bowl, or 2, nearby. Listen. Are there certain stones that want to travel with you onto your next mala? If so, begin separating the beads into a YES & NO pile. If you are fully ready to move on - You will only need 1 bowl.
Be present & aware of your experience. Allow any, and all, emotions to arise, and be released. Remember, you are creating room for the new.
Keep Listening. You will know when the process is over. Upon completion, Give Thanks to YourSelf and your willingness. Close the Ceremony in your own way, blow out the candle and when you're back to technology -- write me and we will discuss what to do NEXT!
NOTE:: If you decide NOT to cut up your mala! That is perfectly fine!!! It is not a requirement...Just an idea. Cutting it up may not even be the best solution for you -- And THAT IS OK!!! TRUST, You.
Other options are:
- Keep it for your altar.
- Make it into a different form of art.
- Offer it to the Earth.
- Anything and Everything else you may come up with --- You're creative -- You know what to do!
